1. Same principle, no $599 entry fee
NeuroVIZR's light comes from LEDs in a headset. That headset is the product, and it is the reason the method costs $599 before you have run a single session.
6th Mind pulses light through your phone's camera flash, locked to the audio. Same two channels, same underlying Audio-Visual Entrainment principle, nothing to purchase. In headset mode, a 3D-printed holder puts the phone's screen right where a visor's LEDs would sit, one half per eye, filling your whole visual field.
2. Everything included, not a free tier and a paywall
NeuroVIZR's app ships with a set of free light journeys, then puts the substantial part of the library behind a monthly subscription, on top of what you already paid for the device.
The 6th Mind app is free: all 36 sessions, no ads, no trial that quietly converts. Optional Premium ($5.99/month) adds extra packs, but you never need it.
3. Therapeutic targets, not journeys
NeuroVIZR frames its sessions as "brain engagement" experiences: novel stimulation for focus, energy or creativity. Interesting, but experiential by design.
6th Mind's sessions are protocols aimed at specific outcomes: lowering anxiety, easing depression symptoms, improving sleep, recovering from burnout. They come from real therapeutic practice, and the app checks whether they are working.
4. Personalization from clinical assessment
With NeuroVIZR you browse a catalogue of journeys and choose by mood or curiosity.
6th Mind starts with validated clinical questionnaires covering your symptoms and personality traits, builds a profile, and tailors sessions to it, continuing to adapt as you report back.
5. Nothing to carry, charge or wait for
A headset has to be ordered, shipped, charged and packed. If you left it at home, you do not have the method.
6th Mind downloads in under a minute and works wherever you are. The device is the one you are already holding. It gets better every time you upgrade your phone, and it never depends on a hardware company staying in business to support it. Even headset mode's holder is passive printed plastic: nothing to charge, and $10–$30 to replace.
